Dennis Henderson, D.Min., has utilized chalk, and other forms of
art, in the ministry since he was a teenager growing up in
Detroit, MI. This ministry has taken him to many
states and countries and into many settings such as rescue
missions, banquets, evangelistic campaigns, special
church services, wedding receptions, camp ministries, missionary trips, street
meetings, Christian business men's meetings, public and
Christian schools, Singles' Groups, Mom's groups, special
Sunday School rallies, Bible Schools, Awana, Pioneer
Clubs,
Vacation Bible Schools, children's churches, and other ministries.
Dennis was
trained in Chalk Art by the master, Ding
Teuling. Dennis' "Chalk
Talks" feature hand-drawn painting
done right before your eyes. Dennis has combined
drawing with
high-tech, multi-media use of music, lighting, slides, video and relevant messages that will make a lasting
impression on your visual learning group or church. For
smaller audiences he uses a standard size
easel and draws pictures approximately 4 feet wide
and 3 feet high. For larger audiences he draws on an
easel approximately 61/2 feet wide and 4 feet high.
Dennis has
served as a Senior Pastor in Ohio, as a solo pastor in Pennsylvania,
and as Associate Pastor in Michigan. He serves as a
part-time, adjunct teacher at Michigan Theological
Seminary. He has
established the "Single Initiative" Ministry
that has the sole goal of using art and media "all
for the glory of God." This includes "This
Chalk Talks" ministry, the "Bible Point"
ministry with Bible lessons and sermons available in
PowerPoint, and a video DVD ministry coming soon (the
first production anticipated in January of 2005).
Besides this website he has developed nearly 200 other
websites and
is available to assist you with yours.
Dennis and
his wife, Dianne, reside in Bloomfield Hills, MI.
Their six children are all independent adults.
Together they bring practical experiences to the ministry
of God's Word through art media.
